Housechurching - Ever Wonder Why?
Some questions to think about from our housechurch yesterday:
God could have chosen anyone to give birth to the Messiah. Why did He choose a poor girl? Why not a queen?
Why did God choose for the Messiah to be born in one of the filthiest places?
God could have chosen for the Messiah to live in any city during His childhood. Why Nazareth, the town of so-called losers who were not worth anything?
Why was Jesus homeless during His ministry on earth? He had a right to have an earthly dwelling.
If we would take these things seriously, it would change the way the world (albeit, the Christian world) is set up and run.
"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." - I Corinthians 1:27, NIV
